Placement (distribution) of advertising products and advertising structures during exhibition, educational and other cultural and artistic events (projects) is carried out on a contractual basis.

The National Museum of the History of Ukraine has the right to organize free programs for privileged categories and vulnerable groups of the population and open lectures or meetings on a contractual basis.

Free programs for vulnerable groups include:

• meetings with artists, lectures, discussions and round tables;
• children’s programs and art therapy workshops – for orphans, children deprived of parental care, children of combatants, war veterans and fallen servicemen, children with intellectual disabilities (ID), children with special educational needs (SEN), as well as persons accompanying them, for internally displaced families, etc.;
• online projects – digital initiatives, including video lectures, podcasts, virtual tours and online exhibitions;
• educational and entertainment programs: master classes, lectures, concerts, children’s programs and quests;
• use of space without a commercial component;
• other programs.

• Things larger than 40*30cm (bags, backpacks, briefcases, umbrellas, etc.) should be left in the cloakroom. There they can be put in lockers that can be locked. And it will be more convenient for you to look at the exhibits.
• You can take pictures! But without a flash. The objects from the museum’s collection are hundreds or even thousands of years old, and bright light destroys them.
• Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by adults. If your child really wants to go to the museum, and you can’t keep them company, we recommend signing up for a quest – there you can learn a lot of interesting things from tour guides and solve some historical mysteries.
• If necessary, you can visit the museum with a baby stroller or wheelchair. Unfortunately, the museum does not yet have equipment for comfortable movement in a stroller. But if you warn about the visit in advance, our employees will help you.

• Distract other visitors. We respect everyone who comes to the museum. We hope you will also treat those who have come here with respect. Therefore, please do not make noise or push.
• Be rude to employees. We can’t even imagine who might think of doing this, but suddenly – please refrain from shouting and rudeness. If you really didn’t like something, leave a review.
• Run and jump. It’s great that you like sports, but the museum is not designed for physical activities. Otherwise, you may spoil the exhibits and the impressions of other visitors.
• Enter with animals.
• Bring sharp and cutting objects, weapons, explosive and flammable, flammable, poisonous and corrosive substances.
• Enter with any means of transport (roller skates, scooters, electric scooters, etc.).
• Littering.
• Being in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication, as well as smoking. After all, this will spoil the impression of the exhibits for both you and other guests.
• Consuming food and any alcoholic beverages within the walls of the museum. However, on the lawn on the territory of the museum you can have a snack, contemplating one of the most picturesque views of Kyiv, and discuss your impressions.

If a visitor violates these rules, he will have to leave the museum. Moreover, the entrance fee and excursion service will not be refunded. This situation is unpleasant for both the visitor and the museum staff, so we hope that you will listen to these requests.

Use of images of multi-page written sources

Notes:

1. The right to use images of museum objects and multi-page written sources may be provided after appropriate selection of the museum object.
2. Categories of objects are determined based on uniqueness and publication status and are agreed with the main custodian:
   • Category III – previously published objects in print.
   • Category II – unique previously published objects and unpublished objects in print.
   • Category I – unique previously unpublished objects and relics of national and world level.
3. Images may be provided from the museum bank, taken by the customer or by order of the museum photographer for an additional fee.
4. The use of several different images of one object (except for multi-page written sources) is paid for at the price of the right to use a separate object.
5. The right to use images of museum objects is granted under the terms of the contract.

Notes:

1. The complexity of selecting museum objects is determined by the custodian, taking into account the dimensions of the objects, the method and place of storage, as well as access to them. Coordinated with the main custodian.
2. During the selection, several items may be provided to choose from, with payment being made for each selected item separately.
3. Difficulty levels:
   • III – items are small in size, light, and accessible in storage; the custodian selects them independently.
   • II – large items or items in a hard-to-reach place in the storage; the custodian selects them without the help of other employees.
   • I – large or heavy items, the selection of which requires the involvement of additional employees.

The internship and advanced training service is provided to specialists, students and other interested persons with the aim of improving their qualifications and gaining practical skills in various areas of museum activity.

Archival services are provided to meet requests for information held in the museum’s archival holdings.

Note: the archive issues no more than 10 cases per day per user.

Library services are provided to users of the museum library and include the provision of additional services for copying, printing and document processing.

Service for preparing expert opinions and conducting an examination of cultural values, their authenticity, historical and cultural significance, etc.

Note:

Similar objects are understood as objects of examination that belong to the same category or type and have common characteristics that allow applying a single research methodology to them without the need for additional preparation of new methodological approaches.

Items of the same type may include:

• items of the same type, series or collection;
• documents made according to the same model or within the same type;
• things that have the same nature and are subject to identical evaluation criteria.

Items that require different methods or approaches for examination are not considered to be of the same type.

If it is necessary to involve consultants or conduct laboratory tests, additional payment is made in accordance with the tariffs of third parties and on the basis of separate agreement with the customer.

Video, TV and film filming

• Minimum order time – 1 hour.
• The cost of services does not include additional costs (security, cleaning, technical support), which are agreed separately.

On weekends (Saturday-Sunday) and holidays, as well as during non-working hours (Monday-Sunday from 6:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00), the rates for video, TV and film shooting services are doubled.

If the duration of video, TV and film shooting exceeds the planned one by more than 20 minutes, then such an hour is paid in full.

If, when carrying out video, TV and film filming, the customer involves a working group of more than 10 people or the customer needs to provide additional premises (wardrobe, dressing rooms, changing rooms, etc.) or museum property (furniture, etc.), the cost may be increased.

Organization of exhibitions

Provision of services for organizing and holding exhibitions using items from the museum’s collection in the museum premises, as well as outside it – the price is negotiable (determined individually depending on the scale, venue and costs for insurance, logistics, packaging, etc.).

• Paid services, including intermediary services, are provided by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine on a contractual basis. This may be formalized by an oral transaction or a written agreement, including contracts of assignment, commission or agency agreements.
• The cost of services not specified in this list is calculated individually, taking into account the complexity, scale and additional costs.
• Preferential tariffs may be applied for educational, public, non-profit organizations and foundations.
• For the implementation of joint non-commercial projects with the participation of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, services may be provided free of charge.
• The National Museum of the History of Ukraine has the right to provide other paid services that are not prohibited by law and that correspond to the list of paid services permitted by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1271 and other regulatory legal acts on a contractual basis.
